Brasov – Transfagarasan Pass
Transfagarasan Pass
This is the day the true adventure begins. We ride the bikes on one of the most famous roads in the world, The Transfagarasan Pass. The pass was built by Nicolae Ceausescu in the early 70’s as a response to the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. The former dictator wanted a quick military access across the mountains in case of an invasion.

Transalpina Pass
Today we continue our journey with Curtea de Arges, where we visit an interesting cathedral and unravel it’s wonderful legends. After this we continue on our way to the Transalpina Pass, the highest pass in Romania. The road was built after the First World War by King Carol II and repaired by the German troops during the Second World War.
Ranca - Sibiu
We continue the ascent on Transalpina on the way to the highest point of the road, at 2145m above sea level. Later in the day we reach Sibiu, the city that was 2007 European Cultural Capital alongside Luxembourg.
Sibiu - Sighisoara
Ride to Sighisoara, the birth place of Vlad the Impaler also known as Dracula, considered to be one of the most beautiful and well preserved inhabited citadel in Europe. On our route we also visit a few other medieval towns.
Sighisoara - Brasov
On our way to Brasov we pass through Viscri, another one of Transylvania’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and also the holiday retreat of Great Britain’s Prince of Wales.
Brasov - TransBucegi Pass - Bran Area
Today visit Romania’s latest pass, The Transbucegi, with a maximum altitude of 1925m. On our route you will discover one of the Romania’s Royal Family’s retreats, The Peles Palace and the most famous cave from Bucegi Mountains, as well as the most important one, Ialomita Cave or also known as Kings’ Cave.
At the end of the day we head to a remote and relaxing mountain lodge, but not until riding the Rucar-Bran Pass.
Bran Area - Brasov
We ride back to Brasov with a break at one of the best known Castles in Romania, Bran Caste, commonly known as famous Dracula Castle.
